A Laboratory Analyst role in East London is available on a 3-month temporary contract. The position offers a day shift (8:00am–4:00pm) with some flexibility to cover early and late shifts.

You will perform chemical analysis and environmental testing to ensure product quality and compliance in a busy manufacturing setting. Ideal candidates have prior laboratory experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records while supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifikationen

• GCSEs including Mathematics and Science.
• A-Levels in Chemistry or other science subject desirable.
• Experience with basic laboratory techniques and documentation.

Full-Time

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm. Flexibility is required to work between 6:00am and 6:00pm when providing holiday and absence cover.

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for a Laboratory Analyst to join a well-established manufacturing and production environment in East London on a 3-month temporary contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced laboratory professional looking to contribute to quality assurance, product testing, and environmental monitoring within a fast-paced operation. You will be responsible for carrying out chemical analysis and testing to ensure products meet strict quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine chemical analysis and environmental testing, including effluent and water monitoring.
• Provide accurate and timely quality control data in line with laboratory procedures and quality standards.
• Investigate and resolve analytical discrepancies, escalating issues where necessary.
• Maintain accurate testing records and ensure data integrity.
• Input analytical results into company systems and databases.
• Support GMP audits and accompany management during safety inspections.
• Operate in accordance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant laboratory environment.
• Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
• Work collaboratively with laboratory and production teams to meet operational requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation.
• Provide support across laboratory functions as required.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience

• Previous laboratory experience is essential.
• Experience carrying out laboratory techniques such as:

• Titrations
• Reagent preparation
• UV-Visible (UV-Vis) analysis

• Understanding of laboratory, manufacturing, or quality-controlled environments.
• Experience maintaining accurate records and test results.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working with quality management systems such as ISO or BRCGS.
• Experience within a manufacturing or production-based laboratory.

Qualifications

Essential

• GCSEs (or equivalent) including Mathematics and Science.

Desirable

• A-Levels (or equivalent) in Chemistry or another science-related subject.
