SGS in the United Kingdom is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a permanent, full-time role based in Ellesmere Port. You will prepare and run samples for analysis according to test procedures and record results in our lab software.

The ideal candidate has attention to detail, can work to procedures, and is comfortable using Word and Excel. A full UK driving license is desirable. Benefits include discretionary bonus, private medical cover, pension, and generous annual leave.

Job Description

Job Title - Laboratory Technician

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Ellesmere Port

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm

Salary: £24,785

Industry: I&E

Overview of the role:

• Working within the Oil sector
• To prepare & run samples for analysis in accordance with test procedures
• Record results on Lab software systems
• Adhere to documented procedures

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who has experience in working within a fast paced setting and used to working to procedures.

You will also have the following:

• High levels of attention to detail
• Ability and willingness to learn laboratory procedures
• Be able to use a computer - word / excel - inputting numbers
• Full driving license for use in the UK - Desirable
