Job summary

The University of Southampton is seeking a dynamic Laboratory Manager/Technical Expert for the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Facility. You will supervise day-to-day delivery of the Open Access Service and provide specialist guidance on LC-MS, SFC-MS and GC-MS instruments within a supportive, collaborative team.

You will lead a small team, manage projects, ensure health and safety compliance, and help researchers across the University and external collaborators access high-quality

Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in chromatography and mass spectrometry.
• Experience of managing a Facility or Laboratory.
• Ability to oversee Open Access Service delivery and support instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of the Open Access Service.
• Support other instrumentation within the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Facility.
• Maintain and troubleshoot LC-MS, SFC-MS, GC-MS instruments.
