Job Title: Laboratory Manager

Location: Merseyside

Salary: £40,000 + Bonus

Hours: Monday to Friday

Daily Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the accuracy of laboratory results.
2. Maintain laboratory equipment.
3. Develop and update laboratory testing methods and SOPs.
4. Validate analytical procedures.
5. Manage and order laboratory consumables to maintain minimum stock levels.
6. Supervise the transfer of NPD physical parameter results from NPD to Technical.
7. Follow testing programs for end-of-life samples and testing procedures.
8. Manage external laboratory testing requests, ensuring correct procedures are followed.
9. Address out-of-specification results and implement necessary corrections.
10. Ensure staff competency and conduct training.
11. Create templates for laboratory documentation.
12. Maintain laboratory practices and standards.

Experience:

• Proven track record in Laboratory Management.
• Experience in an Analytical Chemistry environment.
• Food manufacturing experience (FMCG).
