Job summary

Labcorp in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, seeks a Laboratory Analyst to join the In-vivo Metabolism team. Schedule is 37h/week, Mon–Fri 8.45am–5pm with overtime on a 1 in 4 rota, compensated in addition to base salary.

Responsibilities include running routine and bespoke metabolism assays, dose formulation and autoradiography, necropsy, and radio analysis on tissues and excreta. Collaboration across teams is essential to meet GLP standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: BSc, preferable in Biological sciences/Biochemistry. Experience may be substituted for education.

Responsibilities

  • Run routine and bespoke drug metabolism assays (dose formulation, autoradiography, necropsy, radio analysis).
  • Expand laboratory skillset and support studies outside primary area.
  • Work in cross-functional teams to meet GLP requirements and deadlines.

Together, we’re improving health and improving lives. Labcorp is seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join our In-vivo Matebolism team in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.

Work Schedule: 37h/week, Monday – Friday 8.45am – 5pm. Please note, there is a requirement for overtime where you may be required to stay later on weekdays and work a day on the weekend. This will be on a 1 in 4 week rota basis and will be compensated in addition to your basic salary.

Job Responsibilities
  • Running routine and bespoke drug metabolism assays, including dose formulation preparation, quantitative whole body autoradiography, necropsy and executing radio analysis on excreta and tissue samples
  • Expanding on existing laboratory skillset
  • Routinely supporting studies in non primary area of work
  • Working within cross functional teams to perform sample analysis in accordance with GLP regulatory requirements to deadlines
  • Conducting data processing, as well as data review and QC checking
  • Ability to conduct most processes/task in support of broad portfolio of study types
  • Maintaining study documentation in compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Reviewing own work for overall accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and soundness of technical judgment
  • Delivering results within agreed timeframe
  • Identifying opportunities for improvement in operational processes and lead or contribute to the delivery of these improvements
  • Maintaining a clean and safe laboratory work environment and performing routine maintenance
Minimum Qualifications
  • BSc, preferable in Biological sciences/Biochemistry. Experience may be substituted for education
Additional Job Standards
  • Previous In Vivo experience in a laboratory setting in industry along with knowledge/experience of working to GLP
  • Any experience working with animal tissue and dissection desirable as is any experience performing radioanalysis or formulating test articles
  • Ability to quickly learn new tasks and methodologies
  • Excellent attention to detail paired with strong analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Flexible work ethic
  • Any knowledge/experience working with radioactive materials is advantageous
