You’ll begin your journey in a specific area of the laboratory, where you’ll receive full training and support to develop your skills. As your experience grows, you’ll have the opportunity to work flexibly across different sections of the lab, gaining exposure to a wide range of techniques and processes.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be confident reading and following health and safety guidelines, written analytical methods, and technical procedures with accuracy and care. Ideally, you’ll bring experience from a UKAS accredited laboratory working on a variety of analytical techniques. If you have experience of analysing environmental samples, this will be an advantage.

Please note this role will require a DBS to be completed prior to employment. This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.
