Job summary

Lonza in Slough is seeking an Laboratory Technician to support laboratory scientists and keep our facilities safe, organised, and ready for scientific work. You will work on calibration of equipment, buffer preparation, and stock management, while maintaining clean, compliant records and supporting GMP standards.

This site-based role emphasizes hands-on collaboration with colleagues to ensure high quality medicines research and production.

Qualifications

• Experience in a laboratory environment is beneficial.
• Careful and organised approach to completing routine tasks.
• Good attention to detail with accurate record-keeping."
• Willingness to learn GMP and data integrity requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain laboratory equipment by performing routine daily and weekly calibration checks.
• Prepare buffers and solutions following established methods and procedures.
• Manage consumables by monitoring stock levels and placing orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the laboratory; wash glassware and prep spaces.
• Receive and manage deliveries and ensure proper storage of items.
• Follow GMP, safety and documentation requirements; record activities accurately.
• Support scientists across laboratories and assist with routine cleaning of cabinets and water testing.
