Job description

SRG is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join a team providing support services to scientists.

The successful candidate will ensure equipment calibration and readiness, maintain stock of consumables, and uphold high standards in R&D labs.

Key responsibilities include:

1. General laboratory maintenance:
2. Routine stock management
3. Equipment calibration
4. Raising EWRP notifications as needed
5. Maintaining reusable consumables (autoclaving support)
6. General housekeeping activities
7. Documentation of laboratory and housekeeping activities
8. Media and buffer preparation
9. Processing departmental stock deliveries
10. Organizing departmental shipments
11. Supporting 6S implementation in R&D labs
12. Providing general support to R&D team members
13. Cell culture work to support projects
14. Supporting bioreactor setup and teardown (lab scale and Ambr250)

Education Requirements:

• Required: Degree or relevant scientific qualification (e.g., A-Level/BTEC)
• Preferred: BSc in relevant fields such as Biotechnology
