Job summary

Omega Resource Group in Slough is seeking a Sample Reception Technician for a temporary role. The position runs Tuesday to Saturday, 05:00–13:00, with a focus on receiving and logging samples, despatching to subcontract labs, and maintaining lab housekeeping.

The role requires accurate data entry, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting targets. You will collaborate with Customer Service and other team members to ensure smooth lab operations.

Responsibilities

• Assigning accurate testing
• Handling of all activities relating to sample reception and goods in including receiving deliveries and unpacking samples, shipping of parcels/post
• Logging samples into LIMS and storage
• Some lab-based work and administration tasks
• Assisting the team in maintaining an efficient workflow through the laboratory.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and hygiene in storage areas including sample disposal.
• To liaise with Customer Service and clients regarding any sample queries
• To despatch and document samples to subcontract labs in a timely manner avoiding deviations

Omega has an exciting opportunity to work with one of the UK’s leading water testing specialists, this role is initially offered on a temporary basis working Tuesday - Saturday 05:00-13:00.
