Job summary

Abcam in Cambridge is seeking a Research Associate to support manufacture, assembly and QC across conjugation, kits and accessories. You will perform ELISA QC tests, antibody conjugation, and assay trend analysis to ensure high-quality results for customer requirements.

The role reports to the Production Manager as part of the Conjugation team within In-House Manufacturing, on-site in Cambridge, UK, with a full-time lab-based schedule.

Qualifications

• Life Sciences degree with hands-on lab experience.
• Experience with pipetting, liquid handling and reagent preparation.
• Ability to record data accurately and maintain logs.
• Familiarity with GLP, COSHH, and SOPs desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and adaptability.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• ERP system experience preferred.
• Experience with ÄKTA system and Unicorn method editing.
• ISO9001 environment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacture, assembly, and QC of products.
• Perform Direct and Sandwich ELISA QC tests and antibody conjugation.
• Carry out assay trend analyses and data reporting.
• Maintain Batch Manufacturing Records and laboratory notebooks, adhere to SOPs.
• Support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Maintain inventory records for materials and finished goods.
