Job summary

Construction in Southampton is seeking a Mechanical Site Manager for a laboratory refurbishment programme. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinating M&E trades, managing safety and reporting to the project team to meet programme and quality targets.

The role requires a mechanically biased background, SMSTS, First Aid at Work, and strong communication. You will work on a long-term contract with on-site duties and use PowerPoint and MS Project for weekly progress updates.

Qualifications

• Previous Site Management experience on laboratory refurbishment projects.
• Mechanically biased with strong understanding of M&E and specialist laboratory services.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to produce clear weekly reports.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of the works on site to deliver safely, efficiently and to programme.
• Coordinate subcontractors and specialist trades, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Manage on-site Health & Safety and provide regular progress updates to the project team.
• Produce weekly project reports using PowerPoint and MS Project.
