BioTalent is supporting a global life sciences organisation in Slough to appoint a Lab Informatics Lead who will shape the LIMS/ELN landscape and instrument connectivity across a complex biologics environment.

You will sit at the intersection of science, technology and operations, collaborating with scientists, IT and external vendors to capture, manage and connect data across modern laboratory environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with LIMS/ELN platforms in commercial or research settings.
• Strong background in managing laboratory information systems and data workflows.
• Proven ability to own product roadmaps or act as a business analyst in laboratory environments.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the LIMS/ELN product roadmap.
• Drive laboratory digitalisation initiatives across functions.
• Lead the integration of laboratory instruments with informatics platforms.
• Collaborate with scientists and lab leaders to refine requirements and workflows.
• Ensure systems support sample management, reagent tracking and data integrity.
• Partner with IT and external vendors to improve performance and scalability.
• Identify opportunities to modernise operations through technology and automation.
• Support long-term strategy around lab systems architecture and connectivity.

We're supporting a global life sciences organisation seeking a Lab Informatics Lead to drive the evolution of their laboratory systems landscape.

This is a rare opportunity for someone who enjoys sitting at the intersection of science, technology and operations, working closely with laboratory teams, IT and external vendors to improve how scientific data is captured, managed and connected across modern laboratory environments.

The successful individual will become the recognised SME for laboratory informatics, helping shape the roadmap for LIMS, ELN and instrument connectivity across a complex biologics environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own and develop the LIMS/ELN product roadmap.
• Drive laboratory digitalisation initiatives across multiple functions.
• Lead the integration of laboratory instruments with informatics platforms.
• Work closely with scientists and laboratory leaders to understand requirements and improve workflows.
