Job summary

IQVIA Discovery Sciences in Cambridge is seeking an Associate Technical Specialist to support our Sample Management team and accelerate research programmes. You will operate automated platforms, assist in protocol development, manage samples, and ensure SAP transactions and documentation are completed accurately.

The role requires a BSc in a scientific discipline, hands-on laboratory experience, and strong problem-solving, communication, and data handling skills.

Qualifications

• BSc in a scientific discipline is required.
• Laboratory experience gained through academia or industry.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and data handling skills.
• Good IT literacy and interest in automation technologies.
• Experience in Pharma/Biotech/CRO environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain automated laboratory platforms (Echo, Tecan, Janus, Beckman, HighRes, Mosquito, SmartCell, Hamilton Tube Store).
• Support liquid handling protocol development and routine sample management activities.
• Complete SAP transactions and laboratory documentation accurately and on time.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with quality standards.
