Job summary

Revvity in the United Kingdom is seeking a Lab and Automation Technician to join the Mimix production group. You will support cell culture, DNA prep, and routine lab activities while learning advanced techniques and workflows.

Full training will be provided, and you will work with both scientific and non-scientific staff to ensure smooth lab operations and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced biotech setting.

Responsibilities

• Record all work to the agreed company and departmental standards.
• Support the group and work with staff to enable smooth lab operations.

We are looking to recruit a LAB AND AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN to join our Mimix production group. Working within an inclusive team environment, you will have the chance to gain experience and skills for a career in scientific labs. This is a varied role where you will be contributing to the smooth running of our Mimix labs which includes cell culture, molecular biology techniques and ordering stock, all whilst learning about the exciting work we do at Revvity to support the development of personalized medicines! Following training you will also have the opportunity to gain further support to learn scientific techniques.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining cell lines in culture and preparing them for production workflows
• Extracting DNA from cell pellets and FFPE sections
• Cutting FFPE sections
• Preparing labels and aliquots for final production batches
• Carry out tasks accurately, follow methodologies & operating procedures and record all work to the agreed company and departmental standards
• Help maintain a safe and efficient working environment, comply with company policies, follow instructions
• Be an effective team member in supporting the group
• Work with Scientific and non-scientific staff to enable smooth running of the labs
• Contribute to additional activities within the team, as required
