This is a full-time, office-based role; you should expect to work in our Telford office 5 days a week.

Your role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing Desktop Support within Capgemini
• Fault identification and resolution of incidents/requests within SLA targets
• Supporting mobile solutions (Phones and Laptops)
• Software and hardware installation
• PC Configuration
• Laptop & MacBook imaging
• Assisting with IT Stores tasks
• Supporting internal events
• Creating and maintaining support documentation
• Working on the Tech Table or Virtual Tech Table assisting end users with technical issues

Your Profile

To be eligible, you need:

• 7 GCSEs including Maths, English, and Computer Science at grades 4-9
• Or equivalent BTEC in STEM subjects, with Maths & English grades 4-9, equivalent to 7 GCSEs
• Knowledge of Windows 10 and/or Windows 11
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, OneDrive)
• Knowledge of Apple devices (MacBooks, iPads, MacOS)
• Hardware familiarity (Desktops, Laptops, Printers)

Your programme

The apprenticeship is provided by Baltic. Over 18 months, you will study part-time for a Level 3 IT Support Technician qualification while working full-time. Modules include Supporting IT Architecture, Working with End User Devices, and Network Architecture.

Your security clearance

You will need to undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard checks. There are no nationality or residency restrictions, but recent residence outside the UK may require additional checks.
