Job summary

Capital Law Limited in Cardiff is seeking an experienced Learning & Development professional to partner with legal and central services leaders. You will identify capability needs and design solutions that support the firm’s strategic objectives, with a focus on professional development, leadership, compliance and career progression.

Reporting to the Head of Learning & Development, you will manage the LMS, grow digital and blended learning, monitor engagement, and build strong relationships

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Learning & Development or HR.
• Experience partnering with stakeholders to translate needs into practical development solutions.
• Experience designing and delivering learning programmes, particularly in professional skills and career development.
• Experience managing learning projects end-to-end with multiple programmes and deadlines.
• Confidence using Learning Management Systems and digital learning platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Commercial mindset applying learning to business performance and career progression.
• Collaborative and organised, able to manage competing priorities and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Partner with legal and central teams to identify capability needs and translate into learning priorities.
• Lead the design, delivery and development of the Early Careers Programme with HR and business leaders.
• Coordinate with legal teams on technical development and delivery approaches.
• Design and deliver behavioural and business skills aligned to career pathways.
• Identify emerging learning needs, including AI and new ways of working, and translate into solutions.
• Support CPD and compliance requirements and evidence ongoing development.
• Maintain and optimise the Learning Management System, content, records and reporting.
• Grow digital and blended learning including e-learning and webinars.
• Monitor participation, completion and engagement; analyse trends and gaps.
• Build trusted relationships across the firm as the learning and capability contact.
• Evaluate impact of learning initiatives using feedback and business outcomes.
