Job summary

A well-established business in Wales is seeking an L&D Lead focused on Agile and Lean methodologies. This pivotal role involves leading the development of learning capabilities, designing strategic learning pathways, and coaching teams to drive cultural transformation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Agile practices, strong stakeholder engagement abilities, and a proven record of leading impactful learning programmes while working collaboratively across departments. This role is based on-site once a week.

L&D Lead - Agile & Lean

£50K-£60K Basic Salary

Our client, a well-established business, is seeking an L&D Lead with a focus on Agile and Lean to shape the future of business agility and learning. This role sits at the heart of their L&D function, acting as a centre of excellence for Agile, Lean, and complementary practices. You'll design strategic learning pathways, provide expert coaching, and drive cultural transformation across the organisation. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide change, partner with senior stakeholders, and deliver impactful blended learning that empowers teams to work smarter and more collaboratively.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategy, development, and rollout of Agile & Lean learning capability across the organisation.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert and centre of excellence for Agile, Lean, DevOps, UX/CX, Change Management, Evidence-Based Management, and systems thinking.
  • Design and facilitate end-to-end, blended learning programmes and experiential learning journeys.
  • Develop Agile & Lean competency frameworks and structured learning pathways.
  • Provide consultancy, training, and mentorship aligned to globally recognised accreditation standards.
  • Coach teams, leaders, and stakeholders on Agile ways of working and support them through cultural and behavioural change.
  • Apply systems thinking to diagnose business needs, solve complex challenges, and recommend industry-aligned solutions.
  • Work autonomously while collaborating effectively across departments and with senior leaders.
Skills
  • Deep expertise in Agile, Lean, DevOps, and Change Management methodologies.
  • Proven track record of leading Agile and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong coaching, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Scaling Agile, Lean Change Management, and related disciplines.
  • Skilled in designing and delivering blended and experiential learning programmes.
  • Strong understanding of Design Thinking, UX, Agile engineering practices, and product management.
  • Systems thinker with a learner-centred and customer-focused mindset.
  • Excellent collaborator with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage complex programmes with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
  • Accredited trainer with one or more professional bodies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban University/ProKanban, ICAgile, DevOps Institute).
Experience
  • Significant experience applying Agile, Lean, and DevOps practices in complex organisations.
  • Demonstrable success leading Agile transformations and evolutionary change initiatives.
  • Extensive experience coaching teams and leadership at all levels.
  • A track record of designing and delivering impactful, blended L&D programmes.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and influencing diverse stakeholder groups.
