Old Swinford Hospital is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils in KS4 and assist teaching staff under the SENCO. The role focuses on developing academic skills and managing behaviour in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Working 33.75 hours per week term time, the LSA will assist with preparing learning environments, supporting ICT use, and contributing to pupil safety and well‑being, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Learning Support Assistant in a secondary school setting.
• Ability to support KS4 students with academic learning and executive functioning.
• Strong reading, writing and numeracy skills.
• Calm, patient, and able to work well in a busy team.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to managing pupil behaviour and supporting relationships with pupils.
• Assist learning activities, with a focus on KS4 students.
• Support the SEN department space and help plan and evaluate learning activities.
• Observe and report pupil performance and maintain pupil records.
• Promote pupils’ social and emotional development and safeguard pupils.
