Job summary

The successful candidate will work under teaching staff and the SENCO, helping to maintain pupil records, assist in preparing learning spaces, and promote student wellbeing within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Experience of being a LSA within a Secondary School setting – KS4 support desirable.
• Ability to motivate and encourage students.
• Good reading, writing and numeracy skills.
• Ability to deal with challenging behaviour.
• Calm, patient and able to work as part of a busy team.
• Commitment to safeguarding children.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to pupil behaviour management.
• Establish and maintain relationships with individual pupils and groups.
• Support pupils during learning activities, with a particular focus on KS4.
• Evaluate and develop your contribution to raising achievement.
• To support the smooth running of the SEN department space.
