Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting a KS3 SEN Teacher for a specialist setting in Street, Somerset. You will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons to support pupils with SEN, including ASC, ADHD and SEMH needs.

You will work with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals to create a positive, inclusive learning environment, monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews. QTS/QTLS is required.

Qualifications

  • QTS/QTLS is required.
  • Experience with SEN pupils is advantageous.
  • Ability to plan and deliver differentiated lessons for KS3.

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs?

We are seeking an enthusiastic KS3 SEN Teacher to join a supportive and nurturing specialist setting in Street. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with students who require additional support to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role

As a KS3 SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • ADHD
  • Speech and Language Difficulties
  • Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs

You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons for KS3 pupils
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs

The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Experience working with SEN pupils or a strong interest in specialist education
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Patient, resilient and adaptable approach
  • Strong understanding of differentiated teaching strategies
  • Passion for helping young people reach their full potential
  • Knowledge of SEMH, Autism or learning difficulties is desirable
