Job summary

Empowering Learning are recruiting a QTS Music Teacher for a full-time position in Stockport starting September 2026. You will teach across KS3 and KS4 in a welcoming secondary school environment, delivering creative and engaging music lessons.

The role runs September to Christmas with potential extension or permanent opportunity. You will join a supportive Music department and have access to ongoing guidance from a dedicated consultant, with regular opportunities across Greater Manchester.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching Music across KS3 and KS4.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• A genuine passion for Music and inspiring young people.
• The ability to plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to engage and motivate students through practical and theoretical teaching.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inspiring Music lessons to students across KS3 and KS4.
• Create a positive learning environment where pupils develop musical knowledge, creativity, performance skills and confidence.
• Plan, deliver and assess high-quality music lessons.
