Join our well-regarded secondary school in Kingston-upon-Thames, rated "Good" by Ofsted. We pride ourselves on creating a supportive and stimulating environment where students can thrive academically and personally.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher who is confident in teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5. This is a permanent, full-time position starting in September 2024. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about English literature and language, and who is committed to delivering high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons across KS3 to KS5
  • Develop and implement effective schemes of work and lesson plans
  • Assess, monitor, and report on students' progress, providing constructive feedback and support
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share resources
  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and school activities

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching English Language and Literature in the UK, preferably within secondary education
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language
  • Exhibit excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Be committed to continuous professional development and the wider school community
  • Be confident and capable of teaching English from KS3 to KS5
  • Competitive salary in line with MPS and UPS pay scales (Outer London)
