Salary: £22,748 – £32,053 (Actual Salary)
FTE: £37,913 – £53,246 (MPS Outer London) + £1,500 Allowance

The PWR team at Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a high-performing secondary academy in Orpington to appoint a part-time English Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive, well-resourced department and teach across Key Stages 3–5 in a school that prioritises inclusion, professional growth, and student success.

About the Role:

As a Teacher of English, you’ll bring energy, creativity, and subject expertise to your teaching. You’ll deliver high-quality lessons, contribute to curriculum planning, and play a key role in helping students develop a lifelong appreciation for English language and literature.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with opportunities at KS5)

Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for a range of abilities

Track student progress and contribute to assessment and intervention strategies

Participate in departmental CPD and collaborative planning

Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture with high expectations

Contribute to the school’s wider life and act as a form tutor

What We’re Looking For:

QTS and a relevant degree in English or a related subject
Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
A passion for education and raising student outcomes
Strong classroom practice and commitment to inclusive teaching
Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills
