Job summary

Flourish Education is seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to join a Redditch secondary school. You will oversee classes when the regular teacher is unavailable, supervise pre-prepared lessons, and ensure students complete the work provided while upholding high behaviour standards.

Responsibilities include supervising KS3 and KS4, delivering clear instructions, collecting and returning work, and reporting concerns to the class teacher.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience working with secondary-aged students.
• Previous experience supporting Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils.
• A good understanding of the National Curriculum.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• The confidence to supervise classes independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervising lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Providing students with clear instructions and overseeing pre-set work.
• Ensuring pupils remain on task and complete the work provided.
• Monitoring and managing student behaviour effectively.
• Collecting completed work at the end of each lesson.
• Returning work and relevant information to the classroom teacher.
• Reporting any behavioural issues, incidents or concerns to the appropriate staff member.
• Maintaining a positive and purposeful classroom environment.
