Job summary

Shenstone Lodge School in the West Midlands is seeking a Full Time Teacher of English to cover KS3/4 English. You will teach small groups of around 8 pupils, support students with a range of academic needs, and contribute to a caring SEMH environment where wellbeing is a priority.

Applications are welcome from ECTs, MS or UPS English teachers. The post offers strong pastoral support, access to high quality CPD, and collaboration within an established English department.

Qualifications

• Applications are welcome from ECTs, MS or UPS English teachers.
• Full support will be given to ensure a smooth transition to being part of an SEMH school team.
• Deliver AQA qualifications, including Step Up to English, GCSE English Language and GCSE English Literature.

Responsibilities

• Teach small groups; class size is approx. 8 students.
• Support students with a range of academic needs, from the gifted and talented to those below age expected level.
• Be part of an adaptable, friendly and motivated staff team.
• Access high quality, relevant and meaningful CPD.
• Be part of an established, supportive department.
• Deliver AQA qualifications as listed.
