Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a dedicated Year 4 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, term-time role at a Stockbridge Village primary school. You will provide general classroom support and targeted 1:1 SEN assistance for pupils with ADHD, ASD, and SEMH, aligned with the KS2 curriculum.

The role requires patience, adaptability, and a proactive approach to behaviour support, enabling strong relationships with young learners in Year 4.

Qualifications

• KS2 experience as a Primary Teaching Assistant in KS2.
• SEN/SEND support experience for ADHD, ASD, SEMH.
• General TA, 1:1 TA, LSA, or Special Educational Needs Assistant background.

Responsibilities

• Deliver small-group interventions and 1 to 1 TA assistance aligned with the KS2 Primary National Curriculum.
• Support pupils with SEN/SEND, implementing strategies for focus, emotional regulation, and behaviour management.
• Differentiate learning tasks for Year 4 pupils to build confidence in English, Maths, and wider curriculum subjects.
• Work collaboratively as a Classroom Assistant with the Class Teacher, SENCO, and external specialists.
• Maintain a calm, structured, encouraging classroom environment to keep pupils engaged.
