Job summary

Langley First School invites applications for a KS2 Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our supportive team. The role is a term-time, fixed-term contract at 32 hours per week, with start by 2 November 2026.

Pay is Grade 5 SCP 7-9 (£22,378-£23,512 pro rata) and is based at Drumoyne Gardens, West Monkseaton, Whitley Bay. We seek a motivated, creative individual with SEND experience, NVQ Level 3 in Supporting Teaching & Learning (or equivalent), strong communication, safeguarding understanding, and

Qualifications

Possess or be working towards NVQ Level 3 in 'Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools' (or equivalent).
Have experience of delivering intervention work and one-to-one support for children.
Have knowledge of SEND procedures.
Be an effective team player.
Be enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Have a clear understanding of safeguarding issues.

Responsibilities

Deliver intervention work and provide one-to-one support for pupils as required.
Support pupils with SEND and contribute to their inclusion and progress.
Collaborate with teaching staff to plan and implement learning activities.
Uphold safeguarding policies and maintain professional conduct.
