Job summary

Educate GM in Moston, Manchester, is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support a primary class from September 2026. This full-time, long-term role offers a stable placement and dedicated consultant support.

You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver lessons, provide 1:1 and small-group support, prepare learning resources, and help pupils access the curriculum in a positive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a primary school setting is preferred.
• SEN/SEMH experience welcomed but not essential.
• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom management and lesson delivery.
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils needing extra help.
• Help pupils access the curriculum and participate in lessons.
• Support pupils' confidence, independence and social skills.
• Assist with preparing learning resources under the teacher's direction.
• Monitor pupil progress and feed back to the class teacher.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
