Job summary

Brookside Primary School in Stockport is seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support a KS2 class and assist during lunchtimes. The role requires experience as a teaching assistant and includes midday duties as part of the responsibilities. The contract is term-time only and fixed-term until 31/08/2027.

We are looking for someone who fits our ethos and will work closely with all staff. Salary scales are £13.27 per hour for TA and Midday roles, with a total of 21.25 hours per week combined, and

Qualifications

• Experience as a teaching assistant in KS2 classroom.
• Midday duties are required to support children during lunchtime.
• Term time only contract.

Responsibilities

• Support, assist & supervise children in or outside classes under the direction of the teacher.
• Participate in the planning process as directed by the teacher.
• Develop learning resources within the school as required.
• Undertake basic first aid duties and attend to sick children.
• Provide clerical assistance such as reading records.
