Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils across Burnley and surrounding areas in primary schools. Roles include day-to-day, short-term and long-term placements, with full-time and part-time hours available.

You will work closely with class teachers to support learners across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and promote a positive, inclusive learning environment. We welcome applicants who have experience with children in a school setting or hold a relevant Teaching

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Experience in a primary school or similar setting.
• Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification, or have suitable experience.
• Patient, nurturing and enthusiastic.
• Confident supporting children with varying needs and abilities.
• Looking for work in Burnley and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
• Providing 1:1 support for individual pupils.
• Delivering small-group interventions.
• Supporting pupils with literacy, numeracy and phonics.
• Helping children develop confidence and independence.
• Assisting with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
• Promoting positive behaviour and engagement.
• Working closely with the class teacher and wider school team.

Due to increasing demand from our local schools, we are looking for reliable, caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across Burnley & the surrounding areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
