Lime Wood Primary School in Erith is seeking a dedicated SEND support role to assist learners with EHCPs focusing on ASD and SLCN. You will work across 1:1 and small groups within inclusion bases and mainstream classrooms to help pupils participate with confidence.

You will collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and families, supporting assessments and learning journals while prioritising a calm, inclusive learning environment that boosts independence and communication skills.

Qualificações

• Experience with SEND and ASD/SLCN support strategies.
• Knowledge of sensory integration or early communication support.
• Commitment to inclusive education and working with families.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver individualised support strategies aligned with EHCPs.
• Support pupils with communication, sensory regulation and social interaction.
• Collaborate with SRP Lead Teacher, teachers, therapists and families.
• Assist with assessments, observations and learning journals.
• Maintain a calm, safe, and predictable learning environment.
• Promote independence and personal development.
• Use visual supports and PECS/Makaton where appropriate.
• Contribute to reviews and planning meetings for pupils.
• Support smooth transitions into the wider school community.
