Job summary

St Thomas More Catholic Primary School in Eltham, London, invites applications for a KS2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis. The post is 30 hours per week, term time only, and to start ASAP.

The successful candidate should have NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent), be calm, flexible and committed to inclusion, and work well with staff, pupils and families while upholding the Catholic ethos of our school.

Qualifications

• Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Willingness to participate in training.
• Experience of working with different year groups.
• Some understanding of a variety of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Support the learning of pupils in the classroom.
• Provide 1:1 support where needed.
• Be calm, flexible and committed to inclusion.
