Job summary

Windermere Primary School is seeking a caring and supportive teaching assistant to join our team. You will work with teachers and the SENCo to support teaching and learning and help children overcome barriers to learning.

The role includes supervising small groups or 1:1, assisting with an adapted curriculum, and providing lunch-time supervision. A good standard of written and spoken English is essential, and safeguarding commitments apply.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have strong written and spoken English.
• Experience with supporting children in school is essential.
• Ability to support learning with a differentiated approach.

Responsibilities

• Supervise activities for small groups or 1:1 to support learning.
• Help children develop positive behaviours for learning and in class.
• Assist the teaching team in delivering differentiated activities.
• Support break times and a lunchtime duty each day.
