Hays is one of the largest education agencies in the Wirral area. We work exclusively with over 65% of schools in the area; they use Hays supply service for Cover Supervisors and Teaching Assistants very heavily.

We currently have a number of Teaching Assistant opportunities within Key Stage 2. These opportunities are in several primary schools across Wirral area in places such as Birkenhead, Bromborough, Hoylake, Heswall & Wallasey.

There are both full-time and part-time opportunities available.

Your new role

1. Support the class teacher in the classroom, prepare resources and teaching materials, and ensure that the children in the class have access to the curriculum.
2. Support pupils with special needs, preparing individual resources for pupils who need them.
3. Work closely with the class teacher, plan lessons and activities, and assess progress.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Have a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or Education-related degree.
2. Have at least three months experience working with children in an education setting, particularly with the KS2 age range.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Hold GCSE Maths and English Grade C or above.
5. Sound knowledge of KS2 Curriculum.
