Job summary

GSL Education - Chelmsford are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant at a Brentwood primary school to provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with additional needs.

You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to help the child access learning, follow routines, and build confidence in a supportive, inclusive environment. This is a full-time, long-term role starting ASAP, with ongoing support from GSL Education.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children in a primary school or childcare setting.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Are you a supportive and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant who enjoys helping children reach their full potential?

A friendly and well-regarded primary school in Brentwood is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child in a KS1 classroom with additional needs. This is a full-time, long-term position starting as soon as possible, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference during an important stage of a child s learning and development.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to support a KS1 pupil on a 1:1 basis, helping them engage with classroom activities, follow routines, and build confidence in their learning. You will play an important role in encouraging positive participation and supporting the child both academically and socially.

This position would suit someone patient, nurturing, and adaptable who enjoys working with younger children.
