Job summary

Academics in Southampton is seeking enthusiastic KS2 teachers to work in our client primary schools just outside Southampton City Centre. Ideal candidates will hold QTS with recent KS2 experience and strong classroom management.

You will deliver pre-planned lessons across the primary curriculum, support pupils' wellbeing, and work with school staff under safeguarding policies. Flexible day-to-day, short-term and long-term supply roles with ongoing recruiter support.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Recent experience teaching in KS2.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Confidence delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality teaching across day-to-day, short-term, and long-term supply placements.
• Teaching pre-planned lessons and adapting delivery to meet pupils' needs.
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Supporting pupils' academic progress, confidence, and wellbeing.
• Working collaboratively with school staff and adhering to safeguarding and school policies.
