Job description

KS2 Teacher

Location: Wolverhampton

Duration: Full time, ongoing

Salary: £160 – £240 per day

The School/Role:

I am working with an amazing PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) based in Wolverhampton that is seeking a passionate and resilient KS2 Teacher to join their team. This fantastic specialist centre is for students aged between 11-16 who are unable to attend their mainstream provision because of medical reasons.

Key Duties:

  • Managing behaviour effectively using positive strategies.
  • Resolving conflicts calmly and constructively.
  • Applying emotional intelligence to build trust with pupils.
  • Creating engaging and creative lesson plans.
  • Staying highly organised to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Listening attentively to understand pupils.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background.
  • QTS qualification.
  • SEMH, SEBD needs experience.
  • Level 1 safeguarding certificate.
  • Recent school-based references.
  • Valid Photo ID – Driving Licence or passport.
  • Full DBS – on the update service.
