About the Role:

The school is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 6 Teacher to join their team starting in September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position ideal for a passionate teacher looking to make a significant impact on students' learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the Key Stage 2 (year 6) curriculum, fostering a stimulating learning environment.
  • Assessment: Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies to support individual learning needs.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, managing behaviour effectively and promoting respect and cooperation among students.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and carers to support students’ educational and personal development.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices and school policies.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have experience teaching in Year 6 or KS2, with a proven track record of raising attainment.
  • Be passionate about education and committed to nurturing a love of learning in young students.
  • Be organized, adaptable, and proactive in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
  • Have a current, valid DBS or be willing to obtain one.
