Academics is recruiting a KS2 Teacher for a friendly two-form-entry school in Castle Point, Benfleet, Essex, starting November 2026. This maternity-cover post requires solid KS2 experience and a strong work ethic to hit the ground running.

Qualifications

• Have QTS.
• Able to plan and present engaging lessons.
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum.
• Recent KS2 teaching experience.
• Specialise in Key Stage Two, or have experience teaching Key Stage 2.
• Be able to build strong, positive, and professional relationships with all children.
• Sound knowledge of age-appropriate assessments.
• Be able to effectively adapt learning to meet the needs of all students.
• Have experience liaising with parents, carers, and the wider community to benefit the child.
• Adhere to and practice exceptional behaviour management in line with school policies.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons.
• Maintain strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum.
• Lead teaching in KS2 with recent classroom experience.
• Specialise in Key Stage Two or have KS2 teaching experience.
• Build positive, professional relationships with children, parents and carers.
• Assess students using age-appropriate methods and use results to inform teaching.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Communicate with families and the wider community to support pupil development.
• Uphold high standards of behaviour management per school policy.
