Job summary

Academics is seeking a KS2 Teacher for a 2-form entry school in Benfleet, Castle Point. This maternity cover offers a long-term contract beginning November 2026, with a daily rate of 140–260.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons for a 2-form entry school.

The Ideal KS2 Teacher should:

• Have QTS
• Able to plan and present engaging lessons
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum
• Recent teaching experience in KS2
• Specialise in Key Stage Two, or have experience teaching Key Stage 2
• Be able to build strong, positive, and professional relationships with all children
• Sound knowledge of age-appropriate assessments
• Be able to effectively adapt learning to meet the needs of all students
• Have experience liaising with parents, carers, and the wider community to benefit the child
• Adhere to and practice exceptional behaviour management in line with school policies
