Visits to the school are essential; enhanced DBS disclosures and pre-employment checks are required before appointment. The Trust values well-being and supportive leadership to enable every child to shine.

Qualifications

• KS2 teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to plan high-quality, inclusive teaching that enables all pupils to make strong progress.
• Strong classroom management and high expectations for pupil learning.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delivers high-quality, engaging and inclusive teaching that enables all pupils to make strong progress.
• Maintains high expectations for pupils’ learning, behaviour, presentation and attitudes to learning.
• Uses assessment effectively to identify pupils’ strengths, gaps and next steps, adapting teaching and provision accordingly.
• Creates a positive, purposeful and stimulating classroom environment fostering strong, respectful relationships with pupils.
• Ensures needs of all pupils, including SEND and disadvantaged pupils, are identified and supported and challenged.
• Works effectively with teaching assistants and other adults to contribute to pupils’ learning and progress.

St Martin’s CE Primary School is looking to appoint an excellent and dedicated KS2 teacher who is passionate about teaching and committed to providing the very best opportunities for our pupils. We are seeking someone with energy, enthusiasm and high expectations, who can inspire and motivate children, build positive relationships and support every pupil to achieve their full potential.

We expect a teacher who:

• Plans and delivers high-quality, engaging and inclusive teaching that enables all pupils to make strong progress.
• Maintains high expectations for pupils’ learning, behaviour, presentation and attitudes to learning.
• Uses assessment effectively to identify pupils’ strengths, gaps and next steps, adapting teaching and provision accordingly.
• Create a positive, purposeful and stimulating classroom environment in which pupils feel safe, valued and ready to learn, fostering strong, respectful and positive relationships with pupils.
• Ensures the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and disadvantaged pupils, are identified and appropriately supported and challenged.
• Works effectively with teaching assistants and other adults, ensuring their deployment contributes positively to pupils’ learning and progress.
• Makes a positive contribution to the wider life, Christian vision and values of St Martin’s, helping every child to "Let their light shine.".
