Job summary

Long-Term Teachers is recruiting KS2 supply teachers for primary schools in and around Falmouth, Cornwall. Opportunities include ad hoc part-time roles (minimum three days per week) and full-time supply positions to provide flexible, engaging teaching across Years 3–6.

You will deliver lessons, manage classrooms, and adapt to different school environments while maintaining safeguarding and professional standards.

Qualifications

• Previous teaching experience in a primary school setting.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Flexible, patient and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Availability for ad hoc part-time or full-time supply roles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6).
• Follow lesson plans and learning objectives provided by the school where available.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and behaviour.
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet diverse needs.
• Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
• Monitor pupils’ understanding and provide feedback.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and school leadership.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and health and safety requirements.
• Demonstrate professionalism when working across multiple schools.
