Job summary

Milk Education is seeking a passionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sutton. You will provide 1:1 and small-group support to KS2 pupils with SEN/SEND, helping them access learning and build confidence.

Working closely with the class teacher and the school SEN team, you will deliver targeted interventions, promote positive behaviour and independence, and support communication, emotional regulation and social development to help children thrive.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN/SEND is preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience in a school, nursery, childcare, community or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual learning needs.
• Support KS2 pupils with SEN/SEND to access classroom learning and activities.
• Assist with targeted interventions and personalised learning activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and social development.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SEN team to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with personal care where required.
