Job summary

Milk Education are working with an inclusive primary school in Sutton who are looking for a committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil throughout the school day.

This role provides an opportunity to help the pupil access lessons, support communication and emotional regulation, and collaborate with the class teacher and SENDCo to promote positive learning. The position is full-time with a September start and long-term potential, offering a rewarding role and reliable support.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children is desirable.
• SEND experience would be advantageous.
• Patient, calm and compassionate approach.
• Strong communication skills.
• Reliable and proactive.
• Passionate about supporting children’s development.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support within the classroom.
• Help the pupil access lessons and classroom activities.
• Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
• Encourage independence and positive behaviour.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo.
• Adapt activities and resources where necessary.
