Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a KS2 SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a mainstream primary school in the Liverpool area. You will provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with SEN, adapting materials to access the curriculum and supporting the student's social and academic development.

Working with the class teacher and SENCO, you will monitor progress, record observations, and help maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment while supporting emotional regulation and personal care where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of KS2 curriculum requirements and pedagogical approaches.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong rapport with students, staff, and families.
• Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Relevant childcare or education-related qualifications are highly desirable.
