Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant KS2 (SEMH Specialist) for Leyland's mainstream primary school. The role supports Year 4–6 pupils, with a focus on SEMH needs within a supportive classroom environment.

You will work Monday to Friday, term-time only, with pay between £14.24 and £15 per hour, starting in November. The post requires Level 2/3 TA qualification and trauma-informed practice to help pupils reach KS2 targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification.
• Experience within a primary setting.
• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum to support academic progress.
• Trauma-informed practice to support behaviours with empathy and boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Support across Year 4–6 with small groups of pupils.
• Balance academic demands with SEMH needs for learners.
• Provide a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.
