Job summary

TLTP Education is recruiting a Primary SEMH Teacher for a Barking East London-based school. The role focuses on KS2 delivery, coordinating a Therapeutic Education Practitioners team, and addressing the needs of pupils with SEMH and ASC/ASD.

You will differentiate the National Curriculum and develop IEBIPs to support pupil development, with a strong emphasis on safeguarding and pupil well-being.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS required.
• SEN/SEBD/ASD/SEMH experience desirable.
• Strong behaviour management skills essential.
• Primary teaching experience required for SEMH role.
• Ability to differentiate the National Curriculum for ASC/SEMH pupils.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a primary school model of education across KS2.
• Coordinate the work of Learning Mentors and provide direct teaching time.
• Differentiate the National Curriculum to meet ASC/SEMH pupils' needs with SMART targets.
• Identify pupils requiring intervention in consultation with SLT and clinical teams.
• Ensure pupil safety and well-being while promoting engagement and progress.
