Job summary

Desian Education is recruiting for a KS2 PPA Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Formby. The role offers both part-time and full-time options, immediate start, and long-term placement delivering PPA cover across KS2.

The ideal candidate will have KS2 teaching experience, strong knowledge of the National Curriculum, and excellent classroom management. DBS checks and professional reliability are expected.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with KS2 experience.
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
• Reliable, professional, and able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across KS2 classes during PPA cover.
• Ensure continuity of learning and maintain high expectations for pupil achievement and behaviour.
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
• Adapt confidently to teaching different year groups within KS2.
• Follow school planning and policies to ensure consistency across classes.
• Monitor pupil engagement and provide appropriate support and challenge.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community.
