Job summary

Vision for Education is seeking a confident PPA Teacher to cover KS1 and KS2 across a DL9 primary setting on a part-time basis. You will deliver planned lessons, support class teachers during PPA time, and help maintain continuity of learning.

The role requires QTS and experience in a primary school. You'll adapt teaching across year groups, foster an inclusive, positive classroom, and work with parents and school leaders.

Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching within a primary school setting.
• Have a good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
• Be confident delivering lessons across different primary year groups.
• Be able to follow lesson plans and maintain continuity of learning.
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Be adaptable and able to establish positive relationships quickly.
• Have excellent communication, organisation, and teamwork skills.
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
• Be available for part‑time work in the DL9 area.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons across KS1 and KS2.
• Follow lesson plans and learning objectives provided by class teachers.
• Differentiate activities to meet varying learning needs and abilities.
• Create a positive, safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Maintain high expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour, and engagement.
• Support pupils’ development in literacy, numeracy, reading, writing, and other areas of the primary curriculum.
• Use effective classroom management strategies to promote positive behaviour.
• Monitor pupils’ understanding and provide appropriate feedback to support progress.
• Ensure continuity of learning and maintaining consistent classroom routines.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and school staff.
• Work collaboratively with class teachers and school leaders to ensure lessons meet pupils’ learning needs.
• Support pupils with additional needs and adapting activities where appropriate.
• Upholding school policies, safeguarding procedures, and professional standards at all times.
