Job summary

Grass Roots Academic Support is seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to deliver Literacy and Numeracy interventions for students who are not yet Secondary-ready in English and Maths, helping them build core skills and confidence. You will deliver engaging group sessions, track progress, differentiate learning, and work closely with school staff to tailor support and close attainment gaps.

Applicants should hold QTS, have experience teaching English and Maths, and a nurturing, adaptable approach

Qualifications

• Qualified Primary Teachers (QTS or equivalent).
• Strong experience in teaching English and Maths.
• Nurturing, adaptable approach to learning.
• Confident with small groups and differentiated learning needs.
• Passion for helping students overcome barriers to education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Literacy and Numeracy interventions to small groups.
• Support pupils working below expected levels to close attainment gaps.
• Build strong foundations in reading, writing, and math.
• Help students reach required levels to progress through secondary school.
• Collaborate with school staff to track progress and tailor support.
